Debbie Fogel
Nominated by ejGRAND PRIZE WINNER My wife keeps our home orderly, does the bills, shopping... takes care of 4 children, one in HS and one in JR HI... and our two little ones, Taryn who has a terminal illness requires full time care, for which we do have help. She also takes care of our 4 yr. old Payton who is a strong willed little girl who demands so much and anyone with a 4 year old knows how that can be, then having to care for a sick child is just overwhelming most of the time, but Deb takes it all in stride and quietly goes about her job as mommy... not complaining or arguing or worrying about herself... she is unselfish to the core of her being and its all about the kids and giving them every advantage we/she can to achieve and be the best they can be. My wife also takes Taryn to all her dr. appts. et. all and also works part time at LAX where she has taken a shift which allows her to be home as much as possible but it means her getting home at 0200 am and then getting up early to start all the daily mommy tasks... and she herself suffers from fybermyalgia and is in constant pain... yet does all this w/o compliant. She shoud be mother of the year... this year and every year. Please give her this award, she deserves it. I cant tell you in 100 words how just caring for a terminal child is, and then throw three others into the mix... thanks EJ Fogel
Diana Marcotrigiano
Nominated by Anthony MorenoDiana is the mother of 4 , though she cares for nearly 500! Aside from maintaining a home and raising a family, Diana has been working very hard managing every detail of the growing Empire Soccer Club. She has grown very passionate about the league and is dedicated to the youth members and the families of this Eastvale organization. Diana manages to balance her love for the family and her compassion for all the many participants of ESC... at times favoring her growing extended ESC family! :)
Diane Geier
Nominated by Tara MarchidoDiane is an incredible mom & person. She has 8 children & runs a preschool my daughter attends. She is very active in her church. She does everything for her family & students, but nothing for herself. Diane has unending patience & kindness. I wish I could be as great of a mom as she is & I only have 2 children.
Heather Albrecht
Nominated by Joe Albrecht100 words or less? I need 100,000! Heather is a modern "Leave it to Beaver" kind of mom. She is a happy stay at home mom of our 4 wonderful children ages 13, 11, 9, 7 who in addition to homeschooling all of them, cooks, bakes, cleans, sews, volunteers at church, works out daily, and is even more beautiful then the day I met her. This year after receiving a bonus from work, we set aside a decent amount for both of us to purchase personal splurge items. I bought high end camera equipment and she planned to purchase some furniture she had been wanting for some time. But after hearing of a family member in need she decided to give ALL of her money to them instead of spending it on herself (I do take pictures for the church with my nice camera). She Rocks!
Joanna Moreno
Nominated by Katrina MagadanJoanna is a wonderful friend, loyal wife and awesome mother of 3! She also teaches childbirth education at 2 different hospitals a couple of nights a week. She is someone you'd be lucky to have as a friend; down to earth, honest, trustworthy and so much fun! She, like many other hard-working moms, always seems to put herself last after her family. I would love for her to be recognized for the wonderful woman she is!
Kim Cornfield
Nominated by hayden Cornfieldmy mom is so great because she goes to the park with me and shes so great cooking dinner.
Lindsey Ferrell
Nominated by Maryann KwiatWINNER Lindsey is absolutely the best Mom I've known. Several years ago, after giving birth to her oldest son, she adopted two children, ages 3 and 18 months. She soon discovered they were both affectd with fetal alcohol syndrome, and have other special needs. During this, she gave birth to her youngest son, who was born with Down syndrome. Instead of breaking down and hiding like many of us would do in the midst of all these challenges, Lindsey has been strong. She founded the Down Syndrome Association of Riverside County West, is a Troop leader, sits on the committee for VIP Soccer for AYSO, and continues to get her children to all of their special appointments daily. All with a smile on her busy little face. She gives me the motivation to be a better mother.
Lynda Sexton
Nominated by Jennifer RughAs I have gotten older, I realize how precious my mother is and continues to be in my life and the life of my children. She is a selfless mother and grandmother who demonstrates patience and kindness. Her years of dedication as a mother are now a source of awe and inspiration for me as I raise my own children. We are blessed to have her live with us in our home.
Lynette Bowen
Nominated by Mike BowenLynette's dedication to motherhood is unwavering. Since the birth of our two beautiful children, this has never been a doubt. While I travel across the west during the day and run a haircut franchise at night, Lynette takes on the full load of caring for a two and three year old, teaching 26 students at an elementary school and is the director for 4 different grades as well! Her real quality is in her patience. She somehow manages to keep a calm household despite the terrible two's while putting TV show quality meals (straight from Food Network!) on the table. She finds time to take them to the park, teach them their ABC's/123's and keep them looking their best all while I'm pushing paperwork and flying place to place. All this, with the most loving smile on her face. Her babies are her miracle and she's embraced them with that same love.
Mrs. Brown
Nominated by Stephanie JonesWINNER Mrs. Brown is a mother of four - 16, 10, 5, and 3. She is a wonderful, caring mother who shows her dedication to her children daily in many ways, but over the last 1 1/2 years she has had to take a stand to defend one of her children who was a victim of abuse. She has done it with amazing strength and has seen it through, assuring that the person responsible was held accountable. During this time she still had to participate in "daily life." I can't express how impressed I am with this woman/mother. The strength she has shown is unbelievable. She maintained her soft spoken demeanor and kept a smile on her face, but talk about a mother lion protecting her cub....she took on the fight like nothing I have ever seen! She and her husband could have chosen a less difficult path but they didn't. I feel that because of her actions she has truly proven what being a mom is all about, fighting for your child, showing unending love, all the while providing the comforts of normalcy on a daily basis for all of the kids when things were FAR from normal. She deserves to be recognized.

She is the pillar of strength in our family and is always the first to lend her helping hand to those in need. She somehow finds the time to care for both family and friends; and does not expect anything in return. She has established a special bond with her grandchildren and plays an active role in their daily lives. My mother Prisiciallia K Carlos is deserving of this award due to all trials and tribulations? she has overcome and has kept the joy in her heart, while always looking to help those less fortunate, I am proud to call her my mother, friend and role model.

Greg Stachura
Nominated by Trevor, Tyler, and TroyWINNER - Child Submitted Nomination If it weren't for our dad, we wouldn't know how to ride a bike, play baseball, swim, or do countless other things. Dad has provided us with love and care since the day we were born. He has sacrificed many things to attend baseball games, awards ceremonies, school plays and even tiny tots graduations. He is a positive influence, a spectacular role model, and a kind father. That is why we love our dad.
Jerry Walters
Nominated by Andrea WaltersI would like to nominate my husband of 19 years and father of four "Jerry". I was very ill a couple of yers ago with Intersticial cystis and fibromyalgia and he did everthing he could do for me and our 3 childern. There were plenty of nights he spent in the hospital with me and plenty of nights that he would bring home dinner and run our kids to all ther games and practices. He also took classes at our church to learn how to give this thearpy assist for me every night for two years also he took out a hundred thousand dollar loan and sent me to some of the best holistic doctors and also had me do alot of "Auditing" through our church and sat with me through four surgeries. Andrea Walters
Jim Rogers--Daddy
Nominated by Stacy RogersMy husband, what a great man to me and a "Daddy" to our little girl. Even though he works very hard as a fireman he comes home happy and spends time with his family. He is very dependable and loyal and puts his family first. He doesn't get much sleep because he is always working on something to make our home a place where we want to be. He gets along with everyone and is there when anyone needs a hand. I love seeing him with our little girl. She is definitely "Daddy's Girl" and if she could talk she would tell you how GREAT he is. I love you sweetie, thanks for coming into my life.
Julian R. Martinez Jr.
Nominated by Irma C. MartinezMy husband is the best father I could have ever asked to father my children. Ever since he came into my life (about 12 years)he took me underhis wing with my children and he is just amazing to my children .Zach and Celeste are not his biological children but you would never know that in a million years. He puts their needs before his own he teaches them, talks to them shows them that family comes first and we should always be their for each other he is patient with them and even I may struggle with the teenagers that they are but he is so giving to my children they are what they are good children because they have such a wonderful man in their life that loves them and is always there throught good and bad believing in them and encouriging them. I married this man because he loved me and my children. I have trully been blessed and I dont know where we would be had it not been for his love and support I can trully say he has never let my children down. He also has a son of his own Drew is also a teenager and Jaden is our four year old son together. He is trully an amazing man so that is why I nominate him for the dad of the year.
Matt Kohlenberger
Nominated by Lanee TessariMy Dad met me when I was four years old. I call him Matt, but always introduce him by the endearing title of Dad. He has been there for my first day of kindergarten, my first date, my first dance, graduation, doctors, births of both my children, walked me down the isle and all the times since and in between. He has given the emotional and moral support that a wonderful Dad provides and continues to do so as grandpa. Genetically we are not connected, he chose to be dad and I am so blessed for his decision.
Michael Cornfield
Nominated by kim cornfieldMichael, my husband should be nominated because he has done so much for our family. He works at a job that is emotionally draining - his boss is really challenging to work for and still comes home from an exhausting day to play with our children and do whatever I need him to help with. On the weekends he does yardwork in the back and occasionally he may have to be in the home office to catch up from the week. In that, my husband deserves a nice break, he is a loyal , and caring and unbelievably generous man who just loves his family.
Mike Saints
Nominated by KEYAGRAND PRIZE WINNER Where do I start! Mike is a amazing man. He is a great husband, father and son. Not to mention a cancer survivor. This year has been really rough for us as a family. For starters January 2008 mike was diagnosed with colon cancer. This incredible man never misses a beat! He is a survivor and so commited to his family. The kids can always count on him to attend to all their needs! Family late night wrestling is always on the agenda. Mike is commited to loving and caring for his family. His dedication should be recognized by all. For he was once knocking at deaths door, but he never lets anything stop his commitement to his family.
Mikio Nakaoki
Nominated by Tabitha NakaokiIt was about 9 yrs ago, my husband was left to raise 2 very young children by himslef. When I met his kids I saw and realized the strength and selflessness that he possesed raising his kids by himself. It was then I fell in love with him (that was 7 yrs. ago, we have been married). Mikio is the apitomy of what a father is: strong, selfless, loving, caring and faithful. His sacrifices, and determination should be recoginzed not only this day, but always. I love my husband, his passion for his children, and the children we have created together. He is our glue. He is my rock!
Ronald Pereira
Nominated by Teri PereiraMy husband Ronald should be nominated because he has sacrificed so much for our family. When we first moved out to Corona, he was working the graveyard shift at the VA in Long Beach and I am a teacher in Long Beach also. Because I have been at my job longer-I asked him to quit his job in order to take care of our 2 kids. We knew no one out here and with me leaving at 5:30am and him finishing his job at 8:00am. There was no way to get our kids to school and pick them up. He has been great being a stay at home dad and my kids grades are fantastic. I don't have to worry about them walking home and when I get home, the housework and dinner is done. He is the best dad and husband anyone could ask for. So please consider his nomination. Thank You!
Tim Hausman
Nominated by Gretchen HausmanEverytime I watch my husband interact with our two little girls, I fall in love with him even more. Most people know him as the tough former Marine, or the serious computer guy, but I get to see him as a DAD. It is the moments when he is sitting on the bathroom floor painting our daughter's nails while we are trying to potty train her and she just doesn't want to go. Or when he wakes the girls up in the morning with a song about how beautiful they are and he gets all teared up singing it. When he works round the clock and won't let me see the nursery for our daughter who arrived much earlier than expected. He wants it to be a surprise and it was, every last detail. He knows just how to make boos boos better and how to get them to laugh when they are throwing a tantrum. He even takes time from his busy schedule to read to our daughters every night and say their good night prayers with them. He is doing all he can to make sure our daughters grow up to be all they can be.
He has taken thousands of pictures of our girls (and they are 3 years and 5 months old) and created a special web page to share these pictures with his family that is on the other side of the country. He has even impressed my scrapbooking friends with the digital scrapbook pages he creates to show off his princesses that he is so proud of. He doesn't have many pictures from his own childhood so he wants to be sure to capture every moment of our kids' lives! He has learned how to put hair into ponytails and has added classical and kids music to his IPOD which he hooks up to speakers in the
stroller so the girls can enjoy music while on a stroll with dad. Our three year old sums it up when she looks up to him and says, Daddy, you're my hero!"
For all these reasons and more, I feel my husband is the best dad our girls could hope for!
aLBERT aLVAREZ

eric
Nominated by KatrinaMy husband is such a wonderful father, husband and I must nominate him because he works really hard to provide for my son and I. He's kind, gentle, helpful with me and my son. He works long hours so that I'm able to stay at home and take care of our son and he's so thoughtful that every 2 weeks he gives me an allowance to treat myself to whatever my heart desires. I know alot of married woman whose husbands don't do those kinds of things. He recognizes that staying at home is a hard job and he thanks me everyday for giving up my career for our son. And I'm grateful for the love he has for our family.
sufwan khan
Nominated by reema khanWhile my husband does all the great things most father's do- helps out, gets up with the baby, goes to baseball games, there is one thing that makes him stand out as father of the year. While my younger brother from Ohio, was undergoing chemotherapy at Cedar-Sinai because he had a rare cancer- my husband was a saint.
